Grand piano Concert in St. Katharine’s, Wednesday the 18th of September at 19.00

To celebrate that St. Katharines, Danish Church in London, finally, is the proud owner of a grand piano, thanks to generous donors and a supportive church council. An elegant SK-2 Classic Salon Grand by the brand Kawai Shigeru has been purchased and we are delighted to be able to use this beautiful instrument for church services and concerts.

We celebrate with an inauguration concert with Robert Hunter, who is a classical pianist and as a specialist has been on the grand piano committee together with the church's organist, Inge-Lise Nygaard. The program will be a varied classical program - as usual with Danish composers among them. We also all get the opportunity to sing along to some community songs.

Ticket price: Pay what you can, minimum £5. The church appreciate every donation we get.

A little about the piano soloist:
Robert Hunter has studied at the Royal College Of Music with Professor Niel Immelman.
Concert performances include Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2 with London's Aurelian Ensemble, Schumann's Piano Concerto with Somerset County Orchestra, and Holst's The Planets for one piano and four hands with Zoë Mather.
Throughout his career, Robert Hunter has mainly practiced chamber music and performed with international talents such as the violinist Arabella Steinbacher. He has also often been a guest soloist on P&O and Cunard Cruise Ships.
