SPIL DANISH
Sunday 3th of  November 13.00

Again, the Spil Dansk concert is held in the church, this year with our new grand piano and singers and instrumentalists from the church's choir. Since 2001, Spil Dansk week has been celebrated in week 44 all over Denmark with over 1000 music events. At the Danish Church in London, we have also participated in this tradition for many years.

The entertaining program with the common denominator 'Danish' consists of classical vocal and instrumental music, choral arrangements, jazz and pop songs.
The audience will also have opportunity to sing along to songs - both new and old. There will be magic and nostalgia in the autumn air, with both the Danish song treasure and newer hits, so come and join us! It will be possible to buy drinks. Everyone is welcome, no matter how good Danish you sing.
We have a nice, varied range of musicians employed in the choir and this is a perfect opportunity to get to know their individual styles:

Elisabeth Valentine Kristiansen:
Singer, voice over artist and speaker coach. Educated at the London College of Music, she has sung at Wembley Stadium, the Royal Albert Hall, the Hammersmith Apollo and on the BBC and ITV.

Emilie Speight:
Postgraduate student in composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, former music student at King's College London and the Royal Academy of Music.

Emilia Nygaard Parsons:
Medical student at UCL, plays violin, piano and clarinet and teaches piano.

Casper Christensen:
Trained jazz pianist and now Director of Music at a local girls' school where he conducts choirs and orchestras.

Inge-Lise Nygaard:
Classical soprano and jazz singer, organist at the church and singing teacher various places among others at St. Paul's Cathedral School.
