Learn Danish at The Danish Church in London at the Evening School
The Evening School aka Aftenskolen
We offer Danish lessons for adults, who can only join our classes in the evenings.
The native tutors are experienced teachers who teach within informal and cosy settings, where Danish speech and understanding are taught with a focus on authentic situations and Danish culture. The approach to the lessons is a mix of different methods. Still, the aim on all levels is to develop the students' ability to express themselves, especially verbally in fluent idiomatic Danish.
To attend these classes, you must be a member of the Danish Church. When you sign up you receive a pin with your membership. The class tuition fee is £130 per term or £370 for all three terms. One term is 12 weeks.
As the only Danish school we offer 5 different levels;
Danish 1 Wednesdays kl. 19.00 - 21.00 with Dorthe Black
Danish 2 Tuesdays kl. 19.00 - 21.00 with Dorthe Black
Danish 3 Tuesdays kl. 19.00 - 21.00 with Svend Kjær
Danish 4 Wednesdays kl. 19.00 - 21.00 with Alette Scales
Dansk 5 with Inge Berman direct arrangement between the teacher and students.
ALL classes are from 19.00 - 21.00, with a coffee break of 15 min around 20.00
Term 1
From 13-14 September - Ends 6-7 December 2022 (holiday 18-19 October)
Term 2
Begins 10-11 January - Ends 28-29 March 2022 (holiday 21-22 February)
Term 3
Begins 4-5 April - Ends 4-5 July (Holiday 12-13 April)
